The Bible in Cultural Context | Biblia v kultúrnych kontextoch

The volume brings contributions from an international conference held on 13th and 15th May, 1992, at the castle of Bechyně in Czechoslovakia. The conference entitled The Bible and Its Translations – the Bible in Intercultural Communication was organised by the Czechoslovak Association for Religious Studies in collaboration with the Czechoslovak Bible Society, The Biblical Institute of the Protestant Theological Faculty of Charles University, Prague, and the Institute of Ethics and Religious Studies, a common institution of the Faculty of Arts, Masaryk University and the Czechoslovak Academy of Sciences, Brno.

Sborník příspěvků z mezinárodní konference Bible and Its Traditions-Bible in Intercultural Commu­nication (Bechyně, 13. – 15. května 1992) pořádané Společností pro studium náboženství ve spolupráci s dalšími institucemi. Příspěvky pokrývají genezi biblických textů a jejich další tradování v rozdílných kulturních kontextech (Bible ve starověku, Bible v dějinách evropské kultury, Bible v interkulturní komunikaci, biblická teologie, otázky překladu Bible). Sborník spojuje jak religionistický, tak teologický přístup k tématu. Příspěvky jsou publikovány v angličtině a němčině.
